AOC employees are responsible for the care and preservation of more than 100 varieties of trees and bushes planted around the U.S. Capitol, as well as outdoor sculptures including monuments, memorials and water features.

Paul Pincus Memorial Tree

U.S. Capitol Grounds memorial tree in honor of Paul Pincus's retirement sponsored by Sen. Paul Sarbanes in 1995.

Peace Monument

The white marble Peace Monument was erected in 1877-1878 to commemorate the naval deaths at sea during the Civil War.

People of Connecticut Tree
