This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings, Garage Branch. Incumbent responsible for maintaining safety, security, assignment and usage of parking spaces, performing painting and cleaning tasks, routine maintenance on mobile cleaning equipment, automotive mechanical work and operating motorized cleaning vehicles in and around the SOB garage areas.

Located in the Library Buildings and Grounds, Facilities Operations Division, Maintenance Branch, Elevator Section. The Elevator Mechanic (Electronics) primarily works on hydraulic or cable elevators. The mechanic will also perform a variety of other functions in connection with the inspection, upkeep, modification and repair of elevators, lifts, escalators, and other industrial apparatuses.

The position is responsible for developing designs and furnishings of interior spaces including historically sensitive areas to existing buildings and structures coming under the jurisdiction of the Senate Office Buildings (SOB).
