The AOC's Capitol Recycling Program, in cooperation with General Services Administration, makes it easy for offices in the Capitol Building to collect recyclable materials.

If your office wishes to participate in the program, determine what type of recyclable material you can separate. The Capitol Superintendent’s office provides receptacles for collecting:

  • Paper
  • Newspaper
  • Compostable
  • Co-mingled aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles

Use the form below to select the type, size, quantity and location of these receptacles. Individual staff may select whatever container combination works best at their desk.

Since the program maximizes the collection of clean, recyclable materials, it is imperative that food, other wet wastes, and non-recyclable materials be kept out of the collection containers. To promote proper separation, gray waste containers collect non-recyclable waste and blue one collect recyclable waste.
