The CEAR is the highest form of recognition in federal government financial reporting. It recognizes federal organizations for producing informative, high-quality reports that provide clear insight into their agency's spending and program performance.

The AOC also received a special Best-in-Class Award this year for the report's "exceptional use of graphics, charts, pictures, call-out boxes, and video links."
