AOC Receives Third Consecutive CEAR Award for Financial Reporting
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) received its third consecutive Certificate of Excellence in Accountability Reporting (CEAR) Award from the Association of Government Accountants for its annual Performance and Accountability Report (PAR). The annual CEAR award recognizes high-quality Performance and Accountability Reports (PARs) and Agency Financial Reports (AFRs) that effectively illustrate and assess financial and program performance, accomplishments and challenges, cost and accountability.
"The Architect of the Capitol strives to maintain a high standard of government management reporting and accountability," said Architect of the Capitol Stephen T. Ayers. "We are honored that our efforts have been recognized three years in a row by the government financial management community."
AOC uses the PAR to promote transparency and accountability over the federal funds it receives and to demonstrate its responsibility for the public property in its care. The PAR shows AOC's steadfast dedication to accomplishing its mission to serve Congress and the Supreme Court, preserve America's Capitol and inspire memorable visitor experiences. In addition, it provides Congress and the American people with an accounting of the AOC's successes and challenges in accomplishing this mission.
